Drums of the Magnificent Community of Mestre

The use of "tamburini" during the Middle Ages is attested by numerous Statutes and Capitulary; in fact, they often accompanied the messengers of the Podestà or the Doge in delivering letters or ordinances to the population. They were also used to accompany armies into battle: the rolling sound of the drums instilled fear in their enemies.

Presentation

The group offers performances of historical drums only, with rhythms designed to create sound at the events in which it participates.
